Default Aftermarket Radio Installation

I bought a Pioneer single din with the Axxess Xsvi-2004 wiring harness modified by Double D mods and have everything connected, but the radio doesn't seem to be getting any power. Any suggestions?

It looks like you have a 2003 from your profile so you should have power available in the passenger footwell. There is a taped up bundle of 3 wires- switched 12V, constant on 12V, and ground. (I mention the year because the 2004 supposedly does not have these wires. My 2001 had them easily accessible.) Pull up the floor mat and remove the cover over the BCM. Left side with some black tape over the wires ends.

I don't know what that modified Axxess harness looks like but if you need power, that's where to get it. Maybe someone (Rob?) can remember which wires are which- black is obviously ground but I can't remember which (yellow/orange) was switched power off the top of my head.

The Axxess XSVI-2004 doesn't need the connections at the passenger's foot well. Those are needed only when using the PAC unit.

I would suggest to begin by double-checking all connections were made as per the installation manual, and making sure all connectors are properly seated. Also, remember that the Access XSVI-2004 requires an initialization process. You can download the complete installation manual here.

Check this step-by-step installation. It is very detailed and has lots of pictures. I'm sure it will help you.

It even has a follow-up in Post 2 with a note regarding how to fine tune the adapter for better sound. Also, check Post 10 for extra clarification on some critical splices
