I have a 2010 GS Vert with the 3LT Package (Bose, etc.) Non-Nav. It has bluetooth, but as many know these older BT systems only transfer phone, not streaming music, etc. Also, the 2010 didn't have the plug for an audio or USB line in.
I am thinking about replacing the head unit but want something with equal or better amplification of the original head unit, and that will also allow for full BT compatibility AND use of my steering wheel controls.
Is there an aftermarket unit that allows for full functionality while maintaining complete use of the steering wheel controls; maybe even offering an added audio or USB line in?

I replaced mine with a Sony XAV-AX100. Great unit. Works with my steering controls and factory bose setup. It will add a USB port you can replace a charger socket with. To keep the steering wheel controls, you need a second module. Its going to be like this for almost every aftermarket unit. Too many different cars! some can recognize it without it, but I'm not too sure which ones. The module is a PAC RP5-GM11. Just plugs in to the factory harness. No splicing or extra work. Instructions are very easy to follow. Just sync it and you're good to go!
I would really like to have CarPlay/Android Auto since my wife's truck has that...it's a great interface! Do any of you think that replacing the head unit would devalue the car (since it's not "original")?

You can just keep the factory system and if you sell the car just pull out your new system and put the factory system back in it, that's what I plan on doing with mine.
