Ipod Question on C7 Infotainment System
Doesn't seem to be any issues when I use any USB flash drives. Any help or info appreciated.
I found that if you plug and unplug a device while the car is off it gets confused and thinks that stuff is still out there and puts it all in the Media Library.
My USB was acting funky, and I removed it while the car was on, cycled thru the options (made sure only Bluetooth and Aux showed up) then re inserted it and now everything was fine (and Media Library no longer appeared).

What I ended up doing was taking my 32 GB iPod Touch out of the car and putting my 160 GB iPod classic back in and so far no issues with showing music not currently synced on the device.
It does seem the iPod Classic does have issues freezing up and not advancing the current song title on the display. As long as I don't have to cycle through dozens of groups trying to remember what's currently on the iPod I'm good.
Bluetooth, Media Library (sometimes), USB, Aux-In.
I don't know what causes Media Library to appear versus just having Bluetooth and USB.
In regards to your iPod Classic, I think there are some issues with newer cars and those because they use such an old indexing strategy.
