iPhone no longer playing or charging with GM PAL
I have an 09 and the Phone no longer will charge os play music with the GM PAL unit. My car does not have a factory USB port.
The Pal has an old 30 pin to a newer style adapter that used to all work fine. Then I lost charging capabilities and a year or so later have now lost the ability to play any music through the system.
Is their an adapter I can use to get this all working again?
Thanks in advance

I don't quite understand what you are saying. If the cord from the PAL unit has a 30 pin style (older Apple) and you want to hook up to a lighting style (newer Apple) then yes there is an adaptor that's sold by Apple. I use it on my audio deck player (30 pin connector) to my iPhone 6; works perfect.
I would spend the extra money and get only the Apple made piece.

I have the lightning adapter.
Everything used to work and then lost charging capabilities and now it doesn't even read or play the music.
I am not sure of OS or iPhone updates won't allow interface anymore.
I have a 7Plus.

I suggest you contact Ray Kawal. He is the go to guy for everything PAL.
His contact info is at the bottom of his PAL web page:

Have you tried replacing the lightning adapter? Or the connection to or from the 30 pin connector has gone bad. Just my guess, but I don't think this is a iPhone update issue. Have you tried another phone, either an older one of yours or someone else's?

Here are some probable causes.
1. The PAL cable connection at the XM receiver could of become dislodged. Check to make sure it is securely plugged into the XM receiver.
2. After repeated use and bending, some of the individual wires contained in the PAL 30 pin cable can weaken and break. There are a number of individual wires in the cable that control different functions of the PAL system.
3. Your 30 pin to lightning adapter may be damaged after repeated use. Use only the Apple adapter only.
