Default Radio issues

Hey guys I’ve experienced a difficult time with my 2005 corvette c6 radio,I recently installed an aftermarket pioneer double din stereo, before installing the new radio I noticed that the original one wasn’t plugged in but when I plugged it in it will stay on even when the car was shut down and I noticed my fuse blown out before installing the aftermarket one so I installed the new one bought the correct hardness for it Bose system and onstar plugs, after 2 days my battery went down installed a new alternator and battery worked great for a couple days so I I thought the problem was fix but then the battery went low again so I figured out it was the radio so I took out the radio fuse n recharged the battery so everything worked well so I did a little test on it I put the radio fuse back and there it goes battery goes low again any ideas or has someone had the same issue that is willing to give a brother a hand thanks in advance 🙏🏼

Do you happen to have a manual transmission?

Ok, the reason I was asking is because this seams to come up a lot with the manual trans 05 cars. There was some kind of issue with battery drain and making sure you park with it in reverse or the electronic systems would not all shut down. None of this applies to your automatic though. My guess is one or more of your modules is not shutting down properly. Your car goes through a shut down sequence when you turn it off. Somethings are programmed not to shut down immediately with the ignition and are kind of on a timer and are programmed to turn off after "x" amount of time. Something is staying on and causing a drain on your battery. I'm not sure how to diagnose it, but I know you would need a volt/amp meter and maybe one of those Tech II scan tools. I'm not sure if you want to try taking it to a dealership, but it may be your best bet depending on if they have a good technician or not.
