A switched ignition is just a fancy way of saying, "when you turn the ignition on, this line is hot." I don't have a vette, and my dad won't let me rip into his, but you can probobly just tap in to the radio harness. Again, this is a generalized answer, so be warned, it may not work on a vette.
Not sure, but I think it may not have a switched power source because the radio will stay on till you open the doors, even after you take the key out...but I can't go out and look at my dad's car, so I can't help any more than that. Just post a new thread "Switched Ignition" and ask were to find one....someone will know.
Probably several way to do this. basically you are looking for a wire that is only hot when the ignition is switched on. Fuse box is a good candidate. Look for the accessories fuse for one. or you can tap into the ignition switch itself. I think it has a 20 amp fuse and uses about 10 amps so as long as the OEM-1 thingie draws less than 10 amps..... :yesnod:
