If I install a new amp just for a sub in the hatch would the stock wires and amp drive larger speakers in the doors? I would make an adapter to install a 5 or 6 inch 2 way speaker in the space for the subs.in the doors. Also would a 3 way speaker work ? Would there be any benefit to having larger speakers?

If you are going to change the door speakers, you are going to have to add a new amp and run new speaker wires. I believe the stock amp has built in crossovers that work with the stock speakers. If you do choose to replace the door speakers, you can easily install some 6.5" components. Running the speaker wires is also fairly easy. I installed a 5-chanel amp and am running new 6.5" components in the front and new 5.25" rears with a separate sub in the back. Also, they sell the speaker door adapters that make it easy to replace the fronts. .
Metra 82-3014 for the woofer location.
And for the tweeter location the Metra 82-3015 (you just have to cut a hole to mount the new tweeter),

Thanks for the link. I was wanting to keep the stock bose amp and factory wiring and just install larger speakers in the door and change the rear speakers with 2 ways. Then install a new amp just for a sub box in hatch area. I'm new to car audio and any suggestions or help would be appreciated

Also wanted to mention, if you plan on changing any of the speakers and keeping the base amp and wires, they sell speaker wire adapters so you can make the aftermarket speakers plug and play with the factory connectors without cutting any wires. (Metra 72-4568)
