I heard of a guy using spherical enclosures. Apparently they sounded really good. For the most part as long as you don't have any interior corners on the box you're ok. Basically, from the outside, no part of the box should be concave anywhere. In case you ever do build a rectangular box, the ideal ratio is 1 x 1.6 x 0.6. The speaker should fire along the short dimension. This helps prevent standing waves. It really doesn't matter too much though, EXCEPT, never build a rectangular box where the speaker fills the smallest face. When you do this the box acts like a tuned tube and you get REALLY loud bass at one frequency and nothing anywhere else. It totally hoses your frequency response.

Didn't know all that. To be able to tuck the subs away if I do triangle shape of 17x17x24 and 17 high I can put them against the back seat and on either sid of the mounted spare tire. The back seat will have a board with the amps and cap and wireing blocks.
