Default Back Up Camera Wiring

I am getting ready to install a new head unit in my C6. I purchased the Kenwood DMX7706S and a Kenwood CMOS-230 back up camera. The head unit has a purple reverse wire in the rear as well. Please correct me if I am wrong on the following:

-Run a wire from the purple wire labeled reverse (on the back of the head unit) to the green wire on the reverse light harness

-Run the camera RCA cable from the camera video jack back to the camera

-Ground the black wire on the camera cable

-Connect the red power wire on the camera cable to the Red Accessory wire on the harness?

For the green parking brake wire, just connect it to the ground wire to bypass

I ended up calling Kenwood and spoke with one of their techs. I needed to run a wire from the back up camera and then connect to the ignition wire. I used an interface harness that had another ignition wire built into it, so it was not too bad.

I do have an Accessory wire on my harness which seems like that’s where my power source for the camera should go

The light green wire is supposed to connect to the parking brake circuit, however if you connect it to ground it'll allow you to make changes to the nav system while driving (enter info etc.) See it in this video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O_VgAq4MR-EWhat are you running for an interface ? The purple/white wire from your head unit should connect to the purple/white wire on your interface. The red wire on the camera connects to the accessory power lead, do not connect the green wire to it, on mine I just connected the red wire to the red wire to the head unit.
