I've got a feeling I'm thinking about this too much, but I don't want to mess anything up.
I've got an MTX 6000D mono sub amp. It is stable at 2 ohms. Since it is a mono amp, I was expecting to see only one set of speaker terminals (one + and one -). But there are actually 2 sets (LR + and LR -).
Here is my specific set up. I have two 4-ohm subs. I want the amp to "see" a 2 ohm load. Do I just hook up one speaker to the L and the other speaker to the R? I have heard that the 2 sets of speaker terminals are already wired in parallel just to make it easier to install a pair of speakers in parallel (I guess so you don't have to cram 2 wires under each terminal).

:yesnod: , That's it, you are correct.
ding, ding, Gene tell him what he's won! ;)
Yeah, the amp has terminals like that so instead of cramming two sets of wires in one terminal for parallel you can wire it to seperate terminals.
