My son just installed a new Excelon head unit in my 2007 Base coupe.
The sound that comes out of the speakers now exceeded my expectations ten fold.
Now, wanting more, I went back to Crutchfield site this time looking at speakers, but their data base says nothing is available for my selected vehicle.
How do I know what size speakers I can fit in the rear and doors please?
Replacing the door subs is tricky as there is no known good replacement without adding a separate amp.. You can fit 6 1/2; 6x9, 8", or 10" shallow mount speakers with the right adapter.
If you are just wanting a bit more, then just add a corner sub, a small sub amp, and replace the 4 speakers mentioned above.
If you want more, read this thread, and see how committed you are. Ronin's Thread!!
Vince, I think you just scared away anyone who might have ever considered doing a sound upgrade to their C6.

I hope I didn't scare anyone away. Just want to set expectations. Don't want to make this audio stuff seem easy. We work hard on this advice
It's like building a drag car, it's only as strong as it's weakest component.

As mentioned, 5.25" inchers in the back (but there's room to cut and install a 5x7 if you want). Also, in the doors, you can run any size speaker up to a 10" driver. Decide BEFORE you buy anything if you want a 3 way, or a 2-way up front. This will determine which speaker set you go for. For a new builder just wanting a bit more, a good 2 way will treat you fine.
