What are ANL and AGU?

They are different types of fuses. I'm not entirely sure, but I think AGU fuses are the glass ones (typically 1 to 5 amps), while ANL fuses are "wafer" fuses made for high current applications (usually 40 to 100 amps).
ATC fuses are the normal automotive fuses.

I disagree with the author's comments about how AGU fuses in waterproof in-line holders should be avoided.
I've used this type of setup in 4 different cars over 12 yrs without any trouble ever. I run 50amp AGU fuses. I've never blown one or had a power delivery issue because of it.
