Double din suggestions
I’m looking for suggestions on a head unit for my C5. I’ve purchased a new double din console that accommodates a double din.
I would prefer a unit that will plug up to the existing Bose speakers, as when it comes to wires and electrons, I am an illiterate. I’ve shopped on Amazon and was shocked to see some of these head units as cheap as $40 bucks and many with great features for less than $120 !
Also would prefer American made....... if there is such a unit ?

You need to get either a pac audio ROEM-VET1 or the AXXISS version. I just ordered the pac audio one from vettenuts.com as long as you wire it up correctly it will retain your factory bose speakers and amps

No American made, but stay away from the cheap Chinese units and get a good quality one such as Pioneer (which is what I prefer) or Kenwood, Sony, Alpine etc. which may also be made in China, but are built to much higher standards than the cheap Chinese ones. You'll be happier you did in the long run.
