Default Alternator and amps?

Happy New Years?

Redoing some parts of my sound system and can use some suggestions if you will. It’s an 06 Z51 car which has the 145amp alt I believe.
Currently it has two amps running things, a JL 450/4v2 and a HD600/1 on the 10w3v3. The alternator in the car is original and it’s long in the tooth and voltage drops lower currently then I would like with the amps now. I’m replacing the 450/4 with an audiocontrol LC- 4.800 next week which will run front Hertz components and Morel Tempo ultra coax rears. Fronts will be getting about 120w each and rears about 100w each.

Time to upgrade the alternator. While surfing around I pretty much decided on the Mecham and question is, the 170 or the 240 amp unit? I learned here that the stock C6 systems need 40amp to run all its necessary bits and in addition to that I have a B&M fanned trans fluid Cooler which draws 15A and the audio control amp which is fused with two 40A and one 50A on the JL mono amp. That there adds up to 185A. The car is SC’d and runs hotter then a stock C6 so the fan runs at a higher percentage.
I understand the 170A version alternator charges better at a lower RPM which is good for my region, getting stuck in NY traffic or sitting in a mall parking lot while the wife does her shopping or whatever but will a quality 170A alt be able to keep my electrical system healthy? Or should I bolt on the 240A? thanks

I’ll also be doing the big 3 at the same time as the alt.

240A if I was needing to upgrade it.

Are you budget constrained? Or are you set on an "off the shelf" alternator?

trying to keep it reasonably priced yet reliable. Waiting to hear back from Bret @ RKT on their 250A. There’s one or two other company’s that have similar units that look promising.

Mike Singer hand built me one for under $650 delivered. He can build you one in ANY color, in ANY power output, and built to be a bolt on. Mine took 30 seconds to install and have not have a SINGLE issue with it. I have about 2000 miles on it right now. Never saw my volts drop below 14.6 since installed. 220/290A and can go as high as 340A.

Running a Mechman 170 from BLOWNBLUEZ06@RKT Performance (name on here). Zero issues or light dimming. Running 2 Mosconi AS200.4s and an A/D/S PQ10. One 200.4 bridged running 630x2 and the other running 630 mono and 200x2.
