I understand I will get the decreased range with RF CD changers, but Im in Germany right now and I dont want to fool around with my head unit...so the question is, what is a good brand of RF CD changer that will fit in the compartment in the rear, and finally, if I get a cassette adapter as well, will I get a decent range of highs and lows or will that also be compromised?
Actually, JVC, Pioneer and others make nice wired CD changers for people who don't want (or need ) to replace the head unit. You simply un-plug the antenna from your radio and plug it into the supplied RF Modulator/Converter then plug the converter into the radio! The changer controls (wired) are small (3" x 2" avg.) and are easy to use and keep outta' sight. Mount the changer and run the wires and set a station on your radio to 88.7 or 89.4 and you're good to go! The radio gets the signal through the antenna cable so you get a signal better than any radio station! Cost should be around $175.00 USD or so... I used to handle the JVC units...now I've got the Jenson sets :U ! Hope this helps Chris
Try Sony or Pioneer RF changers. Alpine makes one also but since it will only sound as good as your FM, which is pretty bad, unless you plan to use it later with a standard connection instead of an RF, its not worth it. Pioneer makes a 6 and 12 disc version. Skip the JVC and kenwood. They crap out to often.
