Default Pac TR 12 module not available what now?

Hi,
My 2008 C6 has a Pioneer head unit and factory amp that is connected with the PAC TR12 and PAC RP3-GM11. Everything was working find and then this started. When I start the car the head unit comes on like normal but no sound.
After driving 20 or so minutes music starts playing. I have tries 2 different AMPS and a new head unit but nothing changed. Talking to the stereo shop he said it could be the PAC Modules. I was going to just replace both PAC modules but
the PAC TR12 is not available anymore. Now what? What is the alternative?
Thanks for any help.
Christian

What's the purpose of the Pac TR12? I have my head unit connected with the Pac RP5-GM11.

Remove both of these PAC TR12 and PAC RP3-GM11. Replace with RP5-GM11.

I don't understand the reason behind using the TR12.

Thanks for the good info!
I bought the car with the stereo already installed. I will remove the TR12 and PAC RP3-GM11 and install the PAC RP3-GM11.

Thank you!

The RP3-GM11 will work but lacks some of the features of the RP5-GM11 such as needing an additional module for steering wheel controls, plus it doesn't come with an antenna adapter where the RP5 does, it just depends on the features you have and want to retain. This link shows all the PAC interfaces etc. that are compatible with the 2008 Vette. https://catalog.pac-audio.com/?fc=mo...m=1880&submit=

Hi,
Just wanted to update you. I installed the RP3-GM11 and it fixed the problem!
I'm very happy. Haven't had a working stereo for 7 months.
Thank you for all the help!

He could have used the RP3-GM11, according to PAC it's compatible with the Corvettes, it just doesn't retain as many features as the RP5. https://catalog.pac-audio.com/?fc=mo...m=1881&submit=
