Default Should I use polyfill?

Ok, i calculate my box to be 1.3876139 ft^3, - .07 for the sub = 1.31 ft^3.

JL recommends 1.00-1.50 ft^3. So I an almost right in the middle and I do not need to trick my sub into thinking that there is more space than there is. So do I need to add any polyfill?

Sounds right on the money to me. You can always add some later and see if there is a difference.

Basically, the closer you get to 1.5 cu ft the deeper the subs will play, at the expense of some spl. If you have more than enough power, I would add some polyfill to deepen the sound. Likewise, the closer you get to 1 cu ft the louder it will get, at the expense of low bass extension.

I would add polyfill, because you can always turn the amp up a little more to compensate--and you get a smoother overall sound.
