Delphi XM SKYFi Tuner Mounting
Has anyone found a way to firmly mount the Delphi tuner in the C5 near the cup holder? After a lot of work, my Delphi XM tuner, wired directly into the stock Radio (without a FM modulator) is working perfectly but it is simply setting on the counsel on top of the cup holder. It is about the perfect location but I have not yet figured out how to permanently mount it.
Does anyone know how to remover the little swinging door on the cup holder? If I drive screws through the bottom of the cup holder, what surprise will I hit? Thanks for any help.

Screwing into the cupholder doesn't get you very far. The tunnel is directly underneath it and there probably isn't more than a half inch before you would hit it. I'm not sure about the dimension of the SkyFi controller, but can it fit into the ash tray area if you remove that door? You could remove that entire dash trim piece to get a better idea. You need to remove the 2 screws in the ash tray area. You'll also need to remove the 2 bolts under the traction control panel and possibly the 2 bolts at the rear of the center glove box for added room. This will get it loose. If you want to remove it entirely, there is another screw behind the interior air temperature sensor next to the ignition, and you will need to pop out that sensor.
