Clear the lock
I have an ‘05 with the multi disc radio but it doesn’t light up at night and I’m going to swap it over to one that does, I know it’ll be locked out per anti theft stuff but would a cheap scanner like this one be able to clear the lock?

Personally I'd suggest you get rid of it and buy a good aftermarket system, not only are they so much more up to date functionality wise, but they also sound much better.

Well anyway, I don't believe the scanner you''re looking at will do what you want, I think you need a Tech 2 to do what you want or you can go to the dealer and they can do it for you for a fee.
