Default Where to tap 12v Illumination Source for Head Unit

I am trying to use my auto-dim on a Kenwood X859 Head unit. It requires a 12v signal to trigger the dim mode.

I tried tapping off of pin 30 on relay 44 in the fuse box as mentioned in an old post but this supplies a constant 12v. I need a parking or headlight on only 12v.

I have a 99. I assume since I have no twilight sentinel that this is why relay 44 does not offer the switched 12v I need.

Any ideas where to tap from? Thanks!

One of the terminals on the headlight switch should work.
