I have a 2012 Base with the Bose system. I was getting some vibration out of the driver door and pulled the panel off. This is the large speaker that had separated itself. I replaced the speaker with a new one. But being that guy who doesn't want to throw anything away, is this repairable to be kept as a spare.? ( new one cost about $100). It is a clean break and my thought was just regluing it. Don't know much about speaker repair. Nor have I paid $100 for a speaker!!! Thx. View from the backside.
Thank you Vince. My first thought was if this thing could be repaired. If someone makes a product to repair it I guess it is. I know it might not be perfect but it’s cheap enough to give it a try. Thx.
My driver's side speaker looks the same. The only time I heard a problem was when a song with a lot of base was playing and the volume was up (but not blasting). I ordered 6 3/4" Kicker CS speakers and replaced both sides and now I have absolutely no bass. I glued mine with silicone adhesive but I haven't tested it yet.

you went from a 10" down to 6.5". You also put a bigger load on the amp. It was 37 watts at 1 ohm and now it's about 7 watts at 4 ohms.
I just replaced mine with the same, after I figured out when GM changed out the speakers, so I got the right one. At $100 a speaker I figure IF another one goes I will have a repaired one sitting on the shelf. And we all know what that means. I will never have to replace another speaker!
