CUSTOM STEREO INSTALL QUESTIONS?
Hey, I was thinking about modifying my dash and installing an Alpine 7894 MP3 HU in it and a flat screen LCD monitor as well. I don't like the flip out ones, and want to custom fiberglass one into the dash like nassau blue's. I was wondering what is the largest size screen that can fit in the width there, 7"??? 7.2"??? My second question is when installing a aftermarket head unit what do I use for the black plastic trim around the head unit? I was thinking about using black plexiglass and spraying it mat black. And how do I attach that piece of plastic to the dash plastic trim and the head unit? Am I going to have to make new metal brackets for the head unit? If I bolt the plastic trim to the metal frame will the plexiglass be able to support the head unit???

PS... What is the sharpest and best screen for the money?? just go for size and price they are all pretty crisp and bright these days or are some better than others and will I need the headrest kit to do the dash install???

I will be using a Kenwood 8" touchscreen. Will be about a month before any pics are up. The screen will be flushed into the center console along with the HU, much like NassuBlue's.
