Have you been trying to find a new head unit but couldn't find one in stock ? I came across this place, and they show quite a few in stock if you're wanting to get one. https://aleds.com

Thank you for the information I've been looking everywhere for a new Kenwood navigation receiver!
I ended up getting a Amazon certified refurbished DNX-996 XR but it's not arrived yet. If it's not up to par I'll definitely return it and grab one of the newer 997 XR!
I need to change my avatar because this is for my 2008 C6 with Bose, navigation, XM and OnStar.

I suggest you call, and make sure they have what you want, to make sure before you order.

Yes sir!
When I started looking around at the top two current Kenwood built-in Garmin navigation DVD receiver I could not believe I couldn't find those anywhere in the country and Crutchfield said they had no idea if and when they were going to get more in stock of the DNX 997 XR top of the line.
They did tell me the next model down DNS697S, they'd be getting more eventually. Today checking it says September 22nd. I just hope the certified refurbished DNX 996 XR is functioning and looks good cosmetically. If not Amazon will be getting it back!
I've been wanting to change out the stock nav radio for a while and had no idea that the semiconductor chip shortage runs this deep as to not even be able to get a good car receiver!
Thank you again for the link.

not sure about Amazon certified, but I have 3 factory refurbs off Ebay that are installed at the moment. They are a DDX9905s, 9906XR, and 9907XR. All have functioned perfectly.

Sounds good!
The unit I'm getting actually probably is a factory refurbished because it's coming from sound of Tri-State audio through Amazon and they only had one listed on their actual website and it did say factory refurbished so I would assume that's the one I'm getting.
We'll see I hope I have good luck like you did!
I appreciate the info!

I checked on the eBay listing for the Tri-State audio unit and it says now out of stock so I am getting a factory refurb brown box unit.
I feel better now after what you told me and seeing that it is an actual factory refurb.

Excellent! Sound of tri state is who I got all of mine from. You shouldn't have an issue.

One question for you, on your C6 did you go with the Kenwood branded reverse camera or did you just go with a generic but quality backup camera? I'm trying to decide what cameras to go with for the front and back.
Thank you for the info!

Put it in years ago and never added one....I know...

Damn... Ohh well. 😳
That's mainly the reason I want to take out the Delco Bose nav to get the front and rear cameras as well as the Apple and Android carplay and of course the Bluetooth connection for hands-free calling.
Maybe someone else will see this and reply back or I could start a new thread.
I know by the time I get the PACGM11 adapter and the Metra dash kit more $$ but I just can't see spending $220 more for the Kenwood HD rear camera.
I'm not going to get the cheapest cameras for the front and rear but I'm sure not going to spend the big bucks since I'm not used to having anything.
I'll just be happy with good quality. I know call me crazy for cheaping out. 🤣
I keep telling myself don't worry about it because I saved $550 on what DNX 997 XR would have cost.🤣🤣

I suggest going with a generic camera. Audio branded cameras are way overpriced imo. I purchased a $17 Pyle camera off Amazon years ago when I did my install and it's worked flawlessly since then.
