BOSE Speaker Replacement
Has anyone changed the rear speakers in a BOSE equipped Vette? Was there a noticeable gain in the highs? Is this worthwhile if everything else remains factory issue? Thinking about Kenwood KFCP703 6 3/4 rear speakers. Not sure if this is a good idea or waste of money.
Also, how do I get to rear speakers?

Don't know the C5 that well. Kenwood makes crappy speakers. Don't buy anything from them, Pioneer, or sony that's not a head unit. Most C5 guys just add tweeters as the C5 has "twiddlers" which aren't as bright. There was a thread about adding some $20 tweets from Radioshack and alot of C5 guys were happy with the results.

I added the $20, well actually $15 on sale, to the 98 over the holidays. Very little difference IMO. They are not that clear, in fact I think they are a bit fuzzy as if theya re overpowered, which I seriously doubt, but that is what it sounds like. I have them facing directly forward. I had higher hopes of a better sound based on the previous posts, but I guess I am missing something. :rolleyes:
