Recently purchased a 2013 GS convertible w/Bose system. All entertainment works fine but "no signal" on Sirius channel1; channel 0 shows radio ID. Previous owner never used sat radio. Plan to change out head unit in a bit but would like to get this problem resolved first. Could this be a BCM problem? Looking for simple solutions before tearing the car apart. Any ideas?
I had issues activating SiriusXM on my 2007 when I bought it. It took about 20 minutes on the phone with Sirius tech support for them to fix the issue. I never had any further problems. I got tired of the Sirius pricing dance every time one of my three accounts came up for renewal and finally made the decision to dump them completely. I changed the head unit in the C6 and now have Apple Carplay in all of my vehicles.

First thing I would check is the fuse, if it's ok then check the antenna connections on the tuner (which is behind the water fall on the vert) One question however, did the previous owner happen to change the outside mirrors ? If so, thats where the antennas are located (one in each mirror), and they may have changed them to some mirrors that don't have the antennas in them. Another thing is if you change out the head unit, the new head unit won't use the stock tuner, you have to purchase a new tuner for the new head unit which looks like this. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV...0V1-Tuner.html and comes with it's own antenna. If you get a new head unit and you want XM radio, be sure to get one that's XM ready.

Took off the waterfall. All 3 cables connected. Disconnected all 3. XM1 & XM2 no longer showed on head unit. Plugged in power cable; XM returned on head unit. Plugged in green antenna cable; preview channel audio played for first time. Then plugged in yellow antenna cable; original problem returned, no audio & no signal. Removed yellow and audio & preview returned. Bad antenna? Which one?

Well if I recall correctly the yellow connector is for the signal from the satellite, the green connector is for the ground based signals. Could be your antennas bad, or possibly you have them plugged into the wrong jacks, they should look like this when plugged in.
Well then I suspect you either have a bad antenna, or your mirror was replaced with one that didn't have an antenna, or your tuner is bad. One way I think you could test it would be to get a antenna off eBay such as this and plug it into your tuner to see if it works then. https://www.ebay.com/itm/37414544825...3ABFBM5Ii5nJRh Other wise I suggest you don't even worry about it and just replace your head unit with a new XM tuner, and the antenna that comes with the new tuner you can mount behind the dash on top of the center vents, it works fine there.
Once I removed the yellow connector, the radio started to play. It stopped again when the yellow one was reconnected. Bought a replacement from Amazon and now works fine. Will be replacing the head unit in a while. Thanks for all your help!

Well then like I mentioned, your issue seems to be with one of the antennas in the mirrors, it's either been replaced with a mirror that didn't have an antenna in it, or somehow the antenna went bad. If I recall correctly, there're some Fakra antenna connections under the dash on both sides of the car that are able to be disconnected for mirror replacement, etc. and perhaps someone unhooked and never reconnected, and I've seen pictures of where they're located, but I can't remember where I've seen them at, if I stumble across them again, I'll let you know.

Reception still iffy, but working. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or sketch of the 2 antenna coax cables from the sat receiver to each mirror? I am going to re-test the yellow connector for shorts or ??? And which m,irror each coax goes to? Thanks!

See if this helps, see at about the 2:50 minute mark. It shows where the antenna connector under the dash is for the passenger side is, but not so much the drivers side,
Tested the yellow antenna connector at the waterfall and it reads a dead short. That's why it kills reception when I plug it into the rcvr. Still can't find how it's rouited between the waterfall and mirror?

Yep, that would probably do it. I can't help on the routing, mines an 05 with the "wart" antenna on the trunk lid. I would suspect your wire's pinched someplace. perhaps where it goes from the car into the door.
