Amp in storage compartment C4
Working through my 1989
I am pulling the entire factory bose system and installing a pair of subs, 6.5" in the door, and 4x6" in the dash.
I am going to run everything off of a 5 channel amp. The current amp I got is a 9705 Pioneer 5 channel. It does roughly 800 watts RMS total. It is a class D amp.
I would like to mount the amp on the inside of the rear storage compartment. I would keep the lid closed most of the time, and the air space that the amp would be in is around 1.5 cubic feet.
Do you think there will be an overheating problem?
In particular I am curious about class D amps and their tendency to overheat or not in confined closed spaces.
