Subwoofer question....
Can you run two different size subs at the same time, or will it sound like crap?

As long as they arent playing the same frequencies you are ok
for example, you can run two 8's at 70-100, but your 12 at under 70.
most likely if you do play them at the sme frequencies, then they will sound like crap.

That would be really loud for about 2 seconds. After 2 seconds your car would probably be filled with what was once the contents of your ear canal.

I'll have it all hooked to a line driver so I can turn the subs down to a more normal level for everyday use, but I get really irritated when POS cars pull up next to me thumping and rattling and having to hear their crap over my mine, so I want to be able to turn up my subs to **** them off :D

Use a decent head unit with a non fading output, that way you can control the sub independantly. Some amps have a remote volume control.
A single 12, like a Brahma, will net you over 140db.

I'm hoping the ED NINe.1 has the remote... I was also looking at a Auidobahn ABD40X if the amp I get doesn't have a remote.
As far as subs I was thinking of going with Elemental as well.
I have good Pioneer HU(top of the line like 4-5 years ago), but eventually I want to upgrade to an Alpine 7995.
