Default Yet Another C5 AUX Question

So, I have a 1998 Corvette with an in-dash CD player without a CD changer. I have come across this: Discount Car Stereo > Auxiliary Input Adapters > DCS-GM4 Auxiliary Input Adapter for Select 1997-04 Corvette Radios, yet it states that it will not work with 1997-1999 Corvettes with AM/FM/CD radios. I was under the impression that all C5 CD players were the same. What am I missing? What can I do to make this work in my car?

Thanks in Advance...

97-99 cd radios do not have the changer port that is required? Or aux button...

Not sure about the changer port, but it does have an AUX button... What does the changer port look like? I can take this out and examine at my next opportunity...

Can't help you with the Discount Stereo unit but I use the iSimple BlueConnect ISFM2381 with great success. I have a 2004 but this one works with all years. I got mine from Amazon but they no longer show it. They do have an older model, ISFM2351. I don't know if there is any difference other than the shape of the button. The iSimple web site shows the ISFM2381 out of stock and the older one discontinued. I did find it in stock on Ebay. It has worked really well for me. Kept the original radio and added bluetooth music and hands free phone.

Really appreciate your feedback, but I have never had any success with FM modulators. Have you had other types of FM modulators? If so, how does it compare to the others?

iSimple is not an FM modulator. It taps into the antenna cable and transmits to the radio directly through the cable. I agree FM modulators are iffy at best and particularly bad on trips where you get a lot of interference.
