Took out the stock head unit and put in my Clarion VRx925 DVD player and the speakers sound like butt why is this? Also if anyone is familiar with the head unit i put the dvd in and the sound will play but not the DVD on the screen???

DVD usually have a wire that is hooked up to detect if the car is stationary or moving. If it isn't getting a signal its parked, it won't play video. This stops the video from being watched by the driver. Usually a switch installed will trick it but you can get a ticket.
As for sounding like butt, I don't know the C5 stuff enough. If you installed your own speakers and ran them off the deck power, and it has power out, then there are several possiblities:
1. You didn't run new wires and used the stock stuff. Could be running through and amp or something.
2. They could be out of phase: the + and - are reversed on one side so it pulls instead of pushing, making the speakers fight and not work together.
3. They could be underpowered. Amps on radios rated at 45x4 or so really only put out 12-17x4. You may need more power. :flag
