bose cd not working again/ Replacements?
I have a 90 vette with the bose cd/cass. the cd, like in most vettes, is having a problem again. what do you guys and ladies think is a good replacement?

nobody has any input? I don't know too much about car audio but would like the best sounding system in that I can. :confused: :confused: :confused:

I took my Delco Bose out of my 92C4and dropped it off at the local Delco service shop. I had it back in perfect working order within 2 hrs. They replaced the CD module and a card with a newer (?) version, ...some common problem..." and they seemed to have the "fix". Cost me CDN $150 ($100 US). Terrific sound on all CDs, including copied ones

I had my 92C4 Delco Bose Gold unit repaired within hours at ACDelco service outlet ("Mass electronics") in Richmond Hill, ON Canada (on 03/02/03). I hope they don't mind, if you contact them directly with your questions: Service Mngr: Sam Guadagnolo 905 764 9533.

A local Corvette dealer (now gone) had some referbs in stock and I traded (plus about $150). He sends then out for repair. There are a number of places that advertise that then can fix them.
This will be at least the 3rd in the car since the one I took out already had white letters instead of original orange. My replacement kicked out a CD the other day to... I have had it for about 1 1/2 years. I looked for orange letters but could not find them.
I like the stock look so I have not replaced the whole thing.
BTW. I think that the Bose in my '92 actually sounds better then the one in my new '03.
