Default C7 Audio Upgrade

I bought a 2017 Stingray 2LT last year to be my daily driver and I am getting the itch to upgrade the sound and ditch the Bose setup. I’m not an audiophile by any means but enjoy clean, loud music with the top off. I’ve spent a ton of time reading up on everything and this is what I’ve come up with so far. I plan on doing all the work myself. Subwoofer will come first and then the rest will come a little later. I’m in central Texas and my garage is taken up by gym equipment so no place to work in the shade.

Part 1
Exotic Vette’s double extreme insulation kit
Additional sound deadening for the doors
PAC Amppro GM4-61
PAC APH-GM02 harness
Subs - JL Audio Stealthbox with 2 10TW3s - I found a killer deal on this locally for $700 which has jumpstarted the project
Sub amp - Kicker 800.1? JL JD1000/1? Audio Control LC800.1? Audison SR 1.500?

Part 2
Amp - Alpine R-A90S? Audison SR 6.600?
Front door subs - Infinity 103WSL - play up to 500hz so should deliver good mid bass
Front door mids - Infinity Kappa 303S
Dash tweeters - Infinity Kappa 753T
Rear fill - Infinity Kappa 63XF

Anything I’m missing or could be better? Any suggestions for amps?

Also, how much room is there on the back panel? Is there room to mount both amps after I remove the factory subwoofer? I want the amps hidden and not sure the second Alpine or Audison will fit. Does the electrical system have enough headroom?

@VinceC5 has been doing his C7, I’m sure you’ll be hearing from him soon.

Most choices look good.
1. Rear speakers are 5 1/4"
2. Suggest JL RD amps. The subs are 300W each, anything higher is dangerous 😳
3. Rd900/5 for subs and door woofers ( 3 channel mode)
4. Rd400/4 for door mids, dash tweets, and rear fill.
you should be able to fit both amps in the factory sub location. There are two fused power taps at the factory distribution block.

also... mixed reviews on that sound deadening kit... I would just invest in a couple of bulk kits from dynamat and do the whole car.

and one more thing... do not use the wiring diagram provided by the PAC APH-GM02. It is totally wrong for the C7. You'll have to test each wire.

I appreciate the feedback. I’ve typically only added a sub/amp and replaced the stock speakers in my other vehicles, most recently with the Alpine system in my Ram. I’ve learned with Bose it all needs to go so learning along the way.

1. I know the factory speakers are 5 1/4” but it seems they have an oversized frame. It looks like several people have put 6.5” in that spot with no issues. I’d like to go with the bigger option if possible.

2. The subs are listed as 400w RMS each.

3. Would 500 RMS be enough for the subs? I love my bass. Also, I only see a high pass filter on that amp for the channels going to the door subs, no low pass option?

4. Good to know, I didn’t plan on tearing into anything until I was ready to start my install so wasn’t sure about room.

I already ordered the insulation kit. I know I could have put something else together a little cheaper but went with the ready to go option. I’m short on time.

I did read a comment here about the wiring from PAC. I think it was actually from you in another thread.

500W RMS is plenty for those two subs.
if you want to cut into your vette, go right ahead. Don't think you would get much more going through the trouble. You'll have them right at your ears and right next to two 10 inch subs....

I definitely don’t want to cut. Just want to go with whatever drops right in. How is the rd900/5 supposed to work with the door subs without a low pass filter? Is there a passive crossover I can install with it? I didn’t plan on a dsp, at least not right now.
