Hi folks, had a Pioneer head unit installed in my C6. Once a call comes in, head unit goes completely black and I’m unable to answer the call. Steering wheel control does not work. Only way to answer is with my iPhone and switch the Bluetooth setting to the head unit. Complete pain in the ***, not to mention a safety hazard. Contacted their tech support numerous times which got me nowhere. I should mention that when connected to an Android device it functions perfectly. Any suggestions aside from getting another phone?
Has it always done this? Is the unit new? Did a shop do the install?
1. Look for unit firmware update
2. Take it back if under warranty
3. Get a different radio, not a different phone.

Yes done it since day one. Professional installation brand new head unit. Pioneer says there’s no updates and warranty is up. Very disappointing to say the least.

I wonder if if was correctly installed. Did you bring it back to the installer or question him about your issues?

I wood have not driven off the shop parking lot if my new radio did that. Or at least I would have returned after the first call and demanded a different unit. Too many good head units out there to put up with something like this.

I hear you. The issue was I supplied the head unit. In hindsight, I should’ve taken it to an audio shop and had them supply everything. May have cost more initially but then I probably wouldn’t be dealing with this headache.
