I have subs in a box but I want to build them in.......Aside from mounting them and using decent wiring, is there anything I need to know????? or is it just basically mount em, wire em, play em?????
1) Make sure the interior volume of the box matches the subs well.
meaning what??? I want to build them into the floor......do I need to build a box that I sink into the fllor or can I just cut a hole and mount???

you need the specs for your sub, and they'll tell you what size enclosure it requires. You can't just cut a hole and pop a sub in, that will make it sound like crap and probably damage the sub as well.
If you can't figure out what you need post the sub you'll be using, and we'll help.
some of these guys are a little **** about instruction books. you can use a board across the back & mount them into the floor. it will sound better if you seal it up. a box would definatly be cleaner and create more output, but it's hard to do one cosmetically in a C4. 2 8's in the cubby plastic will rattle pretty bad so i'd look into something like a carpeted fill board for the back & mount them in it.

I was thinkin yank the cubbys, use some carpeted plywood and mount them to that......Ive seen a few like that
pulled the factory doors & plastic. used 1/2" mdf for a baseboard & layed it down in the back. you can see another pannel built in to access the ABS. the sub part was sealed up with spray foam as well as i could. the top cover is just a bottomless box with some swiss cheesing. there's really no reason to leave the plastic. it just rattles & gets in the way.
