C8: Please Help With Aftermarket Stereo Install - Upgrades…
Equipment is all already here, but this is my first install with a “non-metal” car, my C8, so a few questions…
‘24 C8 1LT and simply adding 10” sub while remaining 10 speaker Bose remains stock for now. Amp has speaker level inputs, so planning to just tap wires at stock amp, but exactly
which wires to tap would be appreciated!
Equipment:
-Alpine MRV-M500 amp
-Pioneer TS-Z10LS4 10” sub
-Custom built 10” footwell sub enclosure
2 Questions:
-Where is a good ground if I mount the amp behind the passenger seat?
-Best way to get 4 ga power cable from battery into passenger compartment?
Open to any tips & suggestions for getting this done the most efficient way! Thanks!
C8 amp wiring diagram:
the mrv amp has a high level input, but it is probably for a simple 8-10 watt "non-amplified" system. Your better off with an LC2i or simple sni-35.

…I’ve actually been making lots of progress lately…based on the diagram you posted, it looks like C7 & C8 use the same X1 plug at the Bose amp and I just finished making up the harness I’m going to use tonight…I’m making this system as close to plug & play as I can! X1 diagram from C7. Harness I completed that taps the front door woofers…
