The Car Play in my 2016 is not working properly since the latest iPhone upgrade to iOXS 26.3. The ring around the center Menu button used to control the volume for CarPlay music apps (iTunes, Pandora, etc.) Now when I try to play any of those apps, my screen shows the song playing, but there is no sound. The menu **** now moves the menu items around on the dash screen. I last updated my infotainment on the Z06 in 2023. Everything else on the menu seems to be working fine. Does anyone know what I need to do to get it back working right?
2016 with 32K miles. Apple Car Play acting weird, but I usually prefer the exhaust sound anyway. Apple CarPlay acting up, but I usually prefer the exhaust sound anyway.
First thing, your C7 issue is here on the C6 side. And you might get more responses if you post up in the AUDIO/ELECTRONIC forum. There are lots o knowledgeable people over there.
Thanks. I used to have a 2012 C6 Grand Sport convertible that I purchased from a member here a few years ago. My browser may have defaulted to that forum. I'll repost on the C7 electronics forum.

I've been having numerous problems with my iPhone lately. I subscribe to Apple Care and they are responsive and helpful.... most of the time. Seems like every day, they've made some kind of "up grade" or system update overnight that sends me off down one rabbit hole after another. Today, it was a problem with my iPhone voice mail. After a lengthy screen share that was going nowhere, finally told the rep that I'm not trying to put a man on the moon.... I just want to get my voice mail. It was working perfectly yesterday! I wish somebody offered a package with a dial up phone, a wind up clock, and a B&W tv with rabbit ears and no remote that wasn't 'smart'. That way, when I woke up, every thing that worked yesterday will still work today!
Thanks, but yeah I do that several times a day. Apple updates their iOS about every 20minutes these days and, every day, one app or another is no longer working. My Z06 is ten years old now so I'm trying to find out if GM has an infotainment/navsystem update that addresses this. I last updated it in 2023. Do you know how I could contact GM about this?
What iPhone are you using? You mentioned the issues starting after an iOS 26.3 update, so it is anything from an iPhone 11 up through an iPhone 17 or an iPhone SE. Knowing which one you have may allow forum members to help you troubleshoot further. **Emphasis mine to highlight the edit.
Also, Apple doesn't release iOS updates "every 20 minutes" as you state, so either your updates aren't getting applied to your phone, or you have other issues. Has your phone ever been jailbroken? Apps no longer working could be just as much an issue with the app creator as with Apple, probably more so with the app creator. Best way for them to generate more money is to obsolete a working app and replace it with a new version.
