I'm looking to add a backup camera to my C6 coupe and would appreciate some recommendations. The Kenwood HU has the proper input so I'm good there.
While things are apart I'm also considering adding one of the compact powered subs to the hatch area. I don't need to blow out the windows, but want a decent bottom fill that the door speakers cannot provide. Smaller is better as I often have a bunch of golf stuff in the back. Is anyone satisfied running one of the units that typically mount under seats in other vehicles?

There're many different brands of backup cameras out there, some real cheap, some pricy, I just suggest not buying the cheapest ones, like the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Personally I'm running a Pioneer head unit and their Pioneer camera, yeah I know it's pricy compared to others, but I know I got a good quality product that won't let me down. As far as the compact subs, I haven't heard many good things about them, but I like good deep bass, I suggest you look at Bazooka subs, I know years ago, they sounded real good, but I have to admit, it's been years since I've listened to one. If you have the power seats, you are not going to fit a powered sub underneath there.
You also didn't mention if you have done anything with the door speakers. I replaced my 10" Bose with 8" SI TM8 and found that after some sound treatment in the door that they play down to 40hz. I have no need for a powered sub since most (if not all) start playing at 40hz.
I agree with madsonp about the Bazooka tubes. I had an 8" that I ran in my 84 Mustang GT and a 6.5" I ran in my Ford Ranger extended cab. Both gave what I wanted. They will take up some space, though.

Neither the power driver seat or the non-power passenger seat have enough room underneath for anything on the market. I was considering putting something at the rear of the trunk floor, has to be small so I don't lose too much space, but I don't want to waste time and $$ on a crummy solution.
I believe I saw your post about using the TM8's in the doors and was considering them. I replaced the 3.5's in my doors a couple of years ago and put in sound deadener while I was there, the low end is better but still pretty muddy. Are you getting enough out of the TM8's that you are fine without a sub? I' picked up an Audi A6 with a B&O system that is really pretty good, and now that I'm spoiled I'm trying to get the C6 to where it is at least tolerable.

To be honest I was pleasantly surprised with the low-end and mid-bass in the car now. Of course, with the windows and top down I lose a lot of that. My issue now is that even though I put in sound deadener, I now have a buzz at certain hz on the door panels. I will have to pull them off again to put deadener on the panel as well due to how well the TM*s are doing in the low range. I had put in JL Audio C2 350s (3.5" coaxials) in the 4" spot previously. When I pull the panels again I'll replace those with some Dayton Audio AMT2-4 speakers.
But, to your question, Yes... The TM8s are considered mid-bass speakers that are designed for doors. I am very happy with the low end I get from these. Even though they are rated at 150w RMS I am driving with only 50w RMS and they do very well with feeling the punch and the bass drum hits. The Kicker Key has built-in DSP that I used, yet I still am fine tuning with the head unit's EQ. If your head unit has a good EQ you could try to adjust out the muddy.
For my 2012GS Vert. with Kenwood went with Boyo CAM and Kicker Sub.
I liked all the different mounting options with Boyo.
HS10 fit nice behind seat on storage wall, not a big thump thump bass, but just enough added base for this old rocker!
