Re: alt fuses (pdd000)
Actually you might want to use two fuses. Since both the alt and the battery are capable of delivering power but most importantly since the alt is kind of a long run from the battery on a C5. One ANL fuse close to the alt and one ANL fuse close to the battery. For a car with a shorter distance from the alt to the battery, like say, a C4, would only need one fuse about halfway between the two. I know it seems like overkill but, that is an expensive car and you want to take every precaution you can with it. The reason for this effort is if for any reason, like a car accident or whatnot, that wire gets cut? You now have power still traveling through that wire. As long as the engine is running the alt will deliver power and even if the engine stops, the battery will still deliver power, you see, you want a freak ground like that to blow the fuse on each end effectively neutralizing the wire itself before it can cause harm.
Now about your amp kit fuse, that would most likely be an AGU type fuse. I don't trust AGU fuses with that much power since they are known to be unreliable at times. An ANL type fuse AKA (Wafer Fuse) is much more reliable a fuse. With the power you will run I would use ANL fuses on both the Alt to battery wire and the battery to distro block wire. You can use AGU fuses in the distro block to your amps.
Hope that helps.
P.S. Don't forget all of your ground wires too. They will need to be the same size or larger than your power wires.
