2, 4, OR 8 OHM....I HAVE NO IDEA!!
Should I buy two 8 ohm subs...?
or
Should I buy two 4 ohm subs..?
So do I bridge the amp or run seperate channels...please help.
BTW what is the crossover slope adjustment for?
This site may be able to answer you other questions also.
Sorry I don't know the answers the questions as I am still learning also, but this site helps out a lot.

I have decided to get a RF SVC 8 ohm subs and wire them to mimick a 4 ohm load so I can bridge my amp. Now I need to decide between the punch series or the punch Z series.-TK

I am getting the 8 ohm DVC RF sub...do they make a 8 ohm SVC?
And what the heck is the difference?
You can bridge your amp into an 8 ohm load, or run it in "stereo" and power 2 4 ohm loads. If you are running 1 sub, I'd bridge the amp and wire the sub at 8 ohms. If you are running 2 subs, I would run the amp in stereo mode and wire the subs at 4 ohms a piece. You will get roughly the same power output per sub, but the amp will run cooler and produce cleaner power. A lot depends on the power output of the amp. You don't want to "under drive" your subs.
BTW. A single voice coil sub can only be wired at its rated impedance. In other words a 4 ohm SVC sub, has a 4 ohm impedance. A dual voice coil can either be wired double or half of what is is rated. In other words a 4 ohm DVC sub can be wired in series to achieve an 8 ohm impedance, or wired in parallel to achieve a 2 ohm impedance.
At this point, when you wire multiple subs in series, you add the resistance, but when you wire them in parallel, you divide the resistance by the number of speakers.
For example. Three 4 ohm impedance subs wired in series would be a total impedance of 12 ohms. But three 4 ohm impedance subs wired in parallel would be a total impedance of 1.33333 ohm. (4/3).
