Just bought some Infinity 6953i's!
I bought some Infinity 6953i's instead of the alpine 6x9's today at circuit city. I thought that the infinity speakers sounded better than the alpines did and since the infinity speakers were a 2002 model i got 'em for $90 ( they were $150)! Im gonna install them tommorow so i'll let everyone know how it sounds in the Vette. :D

I bought 2 sets of those 6x9 Infinitys and waiting for them.. I think they tried yesterday but I live down a cool long drive and it was a new guy.. But yea those speakers have a great rep.. On Ebay they were 58.00 a pair.. Might work out the same with shipping..

Well i installed them on Sunday and I am very pleased. I think that the system sounds about ten times better now. The bass is much,much,much improved i just need to figure out a way that i can turn it up without something in my dash rattling because my right front eclipse 4x6 :confused: ? i dont know it just bothers me....but the speakers sound great! The install took me about two hours but i worked slow and i couldnt get all of the screws to go in all the way.I could only get the two top screws on each speaker to reach the holes( oh well it seems pretty secure). I also had to stay with the stock speaker grilles because it would have looked horrible with the missing gap of carpet where i think the amp for the bose speaker goes on my speaker grilles but oh well. I love these new speakers! :D

Well I modified my kick panels to house the 6x9. Looks very nice. Comes out about 3/4 of an inch more now but the sound is killer...I recarpeted the speaker cover in black/dark grey carpet.. Not stealth but when you hear these I dont think stealth is the word...
