OK, I have narrowed it down to the antenna. When I unplug the antenna the noise almost dissappears. You can still hear it a little with the volume all the way down. Also, when I disconnect the alternater the noise goes away. I have seen filters for the antenna and the alternater. Is this my solution? Should I use ant and alt filters? Thanks!
I would definately add the alt. rfi suppression filter from MSD or another high quality source. I have heard that those sold at Radio Shack do not work well.
STeve- Any luck?
Last night I removed my radio and rewired it. No power cords near any of the RCA cables.
I installed a CHEAPO noise filter in line before the stereo.
I grounded the chassis of the stereo to the car. I checked Grounds to the stereo no problem. Grounds to AMP are excellent.
I unpluged the Antenna!
STILL REALLY BAD INTERFEARENCE. WHEN THE CAR RPM'S INCREASE SO DOES THE NOISE.
Have you had any luck IM getting :mad -TK
