Trunk coverage with dynamat, just how much is enough.
Now that the car is finally back on the ground, and bodyshop is working on other panels. I figured I'd start putting in sound deadener in the trunk for the system I'm putting in.
I'm putting in a sealed 10W7 in between my wheel tubs. My question is in regards to sound deadener. With newer cars, most of the trunk area is already finished. But I'm dealing with a 33 year old car (70 Camaro), just what should I cover? I was planning on doing the floor, the wheel tubs, the center panel and rear deck (passenger compartment will be done later).
Do I need to also do the trunk lid, inner side of quarter panels, taillight panel, or is that total overkill?

a few layers
I'm getting a very good deal on Dynamat Extreme, so I'm hoping I don't have to do the multiple layers, if anything I may put the Dynaliner over the extreme on the flat surfaces. But for the cost for just 39 sq. ft of extreme, one layer better equal multiples of cheaper stuff. :yesnod:
