After receiving wonderful information about wiring in a amp and upgrading my stereo I have sort of finalized my choices to the following:
Infinity KAPPA PERFECT6.1
6-1/2" Component System for the fronts.
Infinity 63.5I for the rear fill (I enjoy the rear efffect)
US Acoustics USX 4085 amp
Walmart 4 gauge wiring kit.
I plan on keeping my stock head for the time being along with the cd changer.
Thoughts? A good balance of choices? Are the perfect 6.1's overkill for the rest of the system?
Should sound sweet! The perfect 6.1 aren't overkill. Remember most of your sound will be coming from them and you'll your best speakers up front. You'll have exactly the kind of sound your looking for.
May I ask why you went with the USX-4065 instead of the USB-4065? The 'B' is $50 dollars cheaper, and has a 3 year warranty while the 'X' has a 1 year warranty.

Sounds like a good set up. I'm curious how you like those Kappa Perfect components. The Kappas are pretty popular, but I think the mid bass is flat and they have a hard time in the 80 to 120 Hz range. The Perfects are a whole lot more $$ than the Kappas and hopefully will perform better in the mid bass frequencies. I love the tweeter on the Kappas though, is it the same on the Perfects?
