Default Sockets for PIE CD Changer Harness

I bought the PIE CD Changer harness. I looked undr the passenger floor panel and found the 4 pin socket. There is supposed to be a 3 pin socket as well that is taped to another wiring harness. I can't find the 3 pin socket. I also am not sure how I can get the harness plugged into the 4 pin socket due to its orientation and the lack of space to manuver my fingers.

Any suggestions.

This tech tip tells you how to install that when the 3 pin connector is missing.

My fatazz had tons of trouble getting them connected (I DID have both connectors). I eventually removed the harness clip from the body and easily connected them. Get a pair of small needle nose pliers and disconnected the retaining clip..... much easier than laying there bruising your ribs :yesnod:

Thanks for the link to the tech tip. I never thought to look there becuse I never guessed the 3 wire socket would be missing.

Any tips for removing the plastic cover adjacent to the passenger door sill?

I will probably take the Corvette and the Tech Tip to somebody more adept at soldering.

Tuan found the well hidden 3 pin socket and connected the harness. I can now listen to my iPAQ or my ARCHOS 20 GB jukebox through my factory sound system. This makes my 50th AE even more enjoyable.

Tuan is a very nice person and it was a pleasure to meet him.
