C5 system install Pics
I started installing my stereo this weekend and I got about 2/3 done.
Here is the stuff i am putting in. I already had the HU hooked up but i need to rewire it as i won't need the PAC OEM1 anymore. Waiting for my harness now...
I stripped the car of all interior pieces except the dash.& glove box
Then I laid downt the Frost King.. I sure hope this helps eliminate some of the road noise because it was time consuming.
In this shot you can see the wires I ran to the back of the passenger seat. I ran the 8AWG power wire up the center of the passenger floor away fromt the
RCA's on the left and the speaker wire on the right.
I hooked up the amp and the crossovers
Then I made templates and wired in the components. 6.5" CDT
Here is a picture of my headunit too. I glued vinyl around the mounting bracket so it matches the dash. It matches really well , but it depends on the light.
I've "frost Kinged" most of the back section and I am waiting on my $5.00 wire harness from crutchfield to come in (Thurs or Fri). After that i have to mount my sub in the back, rehook up the HU, throw in the carpet and remaining pieces, and set up the sound!!! I Can't wait :D I promise more pics to come.

please say you didnt screw the amp to the rear bulk head.... the gas tank is on the other side of that....

The only permanent modifications i made to the car so far were the three cuts in the carpet for the crossover and amp wires and one screw hole in the engine bay I used to mount my fuse holder.
