My cousin said I can have his for free. what do these sound like and are they anygood? O by the way, i will not shell out any dough to buy more W6's its either the one or none.
I found it at my cousins house today and it looks like its still in pretty good condition. It is a 10" but it could be larger, im just saying 10" because the box that it was inside said 10". Anyhow he has the other W6 that he blew also, So i was wondering if i should just take that for the time being and buy a working second sub later? I am saying this because i dont want to build a single sub enclosure now and then have to build another one in a few months.
depends on how much bass you want. In a C3 a single 10" with the proper install/power will be more than enough. Unless you want lots of thumping bass...
Well metal wulf you are the c3 car audio genius so you tell me what I should do. Getting another W6 for cheap shouldnt be a problem I think i found a guy with a up and running "borrowing" system.
I'm just saying that the added expense might not be needed, and you might be happy with a single W6. Cabin gain is really good with the large glass hatch. right now my ghetto system consists of a couple 3 way pioneer truck boxes that have ported 8's. They're getting 125 watts each and will thump like crazy. People can't believe that they are actually putting out that much bass...
So it's really easy to get nice bass out of a C3. If you want good SQ and still have plenty of bass the single W6 is fine. If you want crazy SPL then go for the 2. You might not think one is enough, then go for the 2... just keep the gains and sub level down so it doesn't over power the rest of your system.
