Can't vouch for aftermarket ones, but the C5 coupe has a window antenna and its very clear with my aftermarket headunit. It was little fuzzy with the stock unit, but it was the receiver- not the antenna.
I know the littel stubby ones work fine. Friend had them.

I use a metra brand powered hidden antenna. I have tried other ones, but this one helps the reception for my stock stereo the best. Retail is 29.95. Available from your local custom stereo shop.
