I just installed my new head unit Alpine 7897. When I select source for radio, the antenna goes up as it should, but it sounds like the motor keeps running. When i switch the source to disc, the antenna goes down and antenna motor stops running. What is going on ? Anyone have an idea ?
Are you using a PAC oem 1 adapter to run the Bose speakers in front?
It kinda sounds like you have the antenna hooked up to the amp turn on lead. Take a look to make sure that you hooked up the correct blue wire. One is blue and the other is blue with a white stripe.
Re: power antenna motor runs continously (leolufse)
I have a '92 coupe which had a bose gold system. I'm taking my 12v battery(orange wire),12v ign(yellow wire),ground(black wire) and antenna(pink wire) feeds from a harness which plugs into the radio receiver located under the dash on passenger side. I'm installing an Alpine 7897 which feeds an us acoutics 4085 which then powers the cdt front components and cdt subwoofer in back. The remote amp feed is not connected to anything as yet
i have a 93 with the bose, put in aftermarket radio, speakers, and rewired everything. I used the power, ground and acc wires from the original plug, but i cannot find the antenna wire. My reciver box in in the little compartment behind the seats, there are plugs on top and plugs on bottom, please tell me which wire on which plug controls the antenna.
