4 ohm and 2 ohm

4 ohm and 2 ohm
What do these mean? As you all know I'm recieving a free W6 (not the V2) and I checked on the JL audio website and they recommend about 300 watts RMS. So when I went to search for amps they have different wattages for 4 ohm and 2 ohm. I know that they are the resistance but what do they signify?

Do you mean the nominal impedence or the dc resistance?

they're dual 6ohm, so you need to find an amp with the power you want at 3ohms. check out the JL amps...
