Completely Confused...
Need advice on what to buy to replace the factory system in my C5 and still stay within my budget of $1000. I want to replace the HU and door speakers/subs. I already replaced the rear speakers with Infinity 6 1/2's, so it is not necessary to buy new ones again.
I'm leaning toward an Alpine HU. Amp/s and door speakers are my biggest source of confusion.
I've lurked this section for awhile and some of you guys have great systems. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I would be doing the install myself.

rear speakers ran from HU or removed entirely, they will hurt the much superior SQ you get from the CDT's.

I intend to document everything and post pics of the install on my website. I have a slightly different idea for sub enclosure too. Should be interesting.

so what's ur idea for your sub enclosure? I'm going to make one for myself soon too so I'm looking for ideas that won't add too much weight to the car
