Default Completely Confused...

Need advice on what to buy to replace the factory system in my C5 and still stay within my budget of $1000. I want to replace the HU and door speakers/subs. I already replaced the rear speakers with Infinity 6 1/2's, so it is not necessary to buy new ones again.
I'm leaning toward an Alpine HU. Amp/s and door speakers are my biggest source of confusion.
I've lurked this section for awhile and some of you guys have great systems. Any advice would be appreciated. Also, I would be doing the install myself.

CDT CL 61 from http://www.thezeb.com
US acoustics amps with the right power from http://www.crutchfield.com
rear speakers ran from HU or removed entirely, they will hurt the much superior SQ you get from the CDT's.
alpine head unit from tlelectronics.com
Elemental E10k sub from http://www.edesignaudio.com
wiring kit from walmart.
read previous threads asking the same question for more ideas.

Hey, I took your advice and ordered the parts. The little research I did on the items you guys recommended looked really good, so I can't wait to install everything. Thanks...

I intend to document everything and post pics of the install on my website. I have a slightly different idea for sub enclosure too. Should be interesting.

so what's ur idea for your sub enclosure? I'm going to make one for myself soon too so I'm looking for ideas that won't add too much weight to the car

Hmmm, well as best as I can explain it. The sub enclosure will reside in the rear storage compartment of my C5, but it won''t fill the entire space. The enclosure will fill a little more than half, with room for the sub amp in the other half. Ok, so far what the big deal, right? Well, the top of storage compartment will fit around the sub, rather than be the top. See, not radically different, just slightly different as I said. I'll take pics and stuff so everyone can see.
