Wiring 101 (radio)
I have a wiring 101 question, I have a alpine 7894. It calls for me to hook power directly to the battery. In my Honda, I don't remember using the red wire (Ignition), and as far as the red wire on the unit and the harness goes, do I join these together, and splice it to what? Should it be the aux wire on the pass side? Right now I have power going to the unit, however it will not turn on. Another thing that with my tester, I am only getting power from the direct wire to the battery from the harness, and the yellow (constant battery pwr/memory) with the ignition turn on.?????

I DID WHAT THE MEMBER SAID BELOW, AND NOW IT WORKS FINE. I DID NOT NEED THE HARNESS AT ALL :( THANKS

I am not sure what your question is, but when I wired up my 7998 I ran the Yellow wire back to the battery and the ignition wire (not sure what color it was) to the AUX power in the passenger footwell. Hope that helps
